"From the moment I walked into the door I felt as though I was the most important person in the room. I was waited on promptly. The dentist came in to greet me and to make sure he wasn’t needed. My dental hygienist was wonderful and caring. She did a great job on my cleaning and took the time to provide future dental advice. Great atmosphere!" -Deborah P.

Modern Dentures and Patient Expectations | Oak Family Dental

It can be difficult to learn that you need full dentures. Part of the problem is the expectation that your dentures won’t look natural and everyone will know they aren’t your original teeth. You may also be worried that dentures will be uncomfortable and unstable in your mouth.

The concern is understandable, especially if you remember the sad-looking dentures soaking in a cup on your grandparents’ nightstand. But we can assure you that full and partial dentures created at our Metairie, LA dental office are nothing like your grandparents’ dentures!

New materials and state-of-the-art technology have dramatically improved the look, fit, and function of dentures. Today, it is possible to customize dentures to look more natural than you ever imagined. Studies show that, in general, updated dentures meet and exceed patient expectations.

Working Together to Create a Better Smile

The key to ensuring that you are happy with your new dentures is including you in the process from start to finish. You will live with your dentures for a long time, and we want you to be thrilled with your appearance every time you smile!

We will work together to customize details like gum color, tooth color, and even the positioning of the artificial teeth. Part of the process includes preparing a wax try-in that allows you to picture how the denture will look in your mouth. Using our specifications, highly skilled technicians fabricate your denture carefully, placing each tooth separately in a gum-colored acrylic base.

Getting new dentures can change your life for the better in many ways. If you would like to learn more about full and partial dentures at our Metairie, LA dental office, please give us a call! We will be happy to arrange an obligation-free dentures consultation so we can explain the benefits of completing your smile with dentures.
