Starting Monday April 27, 2020, as directed bye the Louisiana Department of Health, dentists can begin "time-sensitive" procedures in addition to emergency care. Every patient will be evaluated case by case by one of our doctors to determine if treatment is warranted at this time. If you have an area in your mouth that you are concerned with, or outstanding treatment you are worried about please call our office and your case will be reviewed with you over the phone to determine if a visit is necessary at this time.
At Oak Family Dental the health and safety of our patients and staff is our number one priority. To ensure everyone's health and safety we have implemented some changes over the past few weeks. We have upgraded our air condition units to contain top of the line filters as well as ultraviolet lights. The ultraviolet light kills microbes, including viruses, mold, bacteria, fungi, mildew and mold spores, so they cannot be recirculated through the air conditioning. We have, and always will follow CDC and OSHA guidelines in regards to sterilization of our instruments and the disinfection of our rooms. We only use top of the line, CDC and OSHA approved cleaning supplies.
At this time we ask that every patient have an appointment. Walk ins will not be able to be seen because we need to prepare for your visit to ensure everyone's safety. Please call ahead to make an appointment. We will try our best to see you the day you call if you have an emergency.
-Prior to your appointment every patient will be screened via telephone or a text message monitoring system for any symptoms related to COVID-19 or other illnesses.
