Evaluating Wisdom Teeth
Having a wisdom teeth evaluation is a natural progression for kids as they move into their teenage years. We can take a panoramic x-ray to determine the location of your child’s wisdom teeth and recommend a course of treatment that will benefit them.
For your convenience, we can perform most dental extraction surgeries right here in our office, without the need for a referral. We will make sure that you are completely comfortable for your treatment and provide you with aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing. While each patient is different, we have some basic guidelines to make sure the healing process goes as smoothly as possible:
- Do not chew on your extraction site.
- Keep the area clean.
- Do not use a WaterPik to clean the area.
- Do not smoke or drink through a straw.
- Come back for your follow-up exam.
- Take the recommended over-the-counter pain relievers for discomfort.
We will provide you with additional information for your personal case. If you ever have any questions after your surgery, please feel free to give us a call and discuss it with us. We are always here to help!
